Activists in movements/andolans/campaigns from all over India protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to demand their rights and condemn illegalities/injustices on issues of gender, caste, race, sexuality, disability, communalism and human rights. Mainstream media ignores most such protests. This is an attempt to document few such dharnas/sit-ins/candle light marches/vigils/rallies/effigy-burning/fasts/gherao of Parliament and police action viz arrest/lathi-charge/teargas/firing at protesters.

National Media Fails To Report ABMSU Protest in Delhi

The Delhi based English and Hindi newspapers as predicted by the PIL Watch Group in its previous post on All B.T.C. Minority Students’ Union (ABMSU) protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 10.06.2014 failed to report the same. The omission needless to say is deliberate.
